Mark your calendar! Canada Day’s gonna be another fun one for Guelph and Area Residents. Start your day with a FREE pancake breakfast at the Puslinch Community Centre at 9am and then make your way over to Riverside Park for the annual Canada Day celebrations beginning at 11am.

The Rotary Club (@RotaryGuelph) has outdone themselves this year. From the Coro Cant Italia Choir to the Royal City Big Band, there are 7 amazing bands and live performances all afternoon from 1pm to 9:15pm. As for things to do, there is no end to the list of activities; With petting zoos, train rides, inflatable bouncing castles, duck races and of course, fireworks, your kids are certain to have a non-stop smile glued to their face all afternoon. Visit canadadayinthepark.ca for the full list of bands and activities.

We know they’re just as excited as you are.

Shuttle Service too! As posted by Guelph Transit, there won’t be regular bus service Wednesday night between 8:45pm and 11pm due to the holiday bus schedule, however they have planned shuttles between Guelph Central Station (platforms 5 and 20) and Riverside Park on Woodlawn Road. These shuttles will depart downtown at 8:45pm and 9:15pm, and leave Riverside Park beginning at 9:45pm with the last shuttle leaving at 11pm. It should be noted that regular Guelph Transit fares still apply to this shuttle service.

To get you pumped up: This is roughly a year old now, but here’s a song by Chris Hadfield and his brother about Canada Day. You’re sure to enjoy it.

And if you’re already thinking about next weekend…   Campfires and Marshmallow Roasting at Guelph Lake Conservation Area! What’s not to love about campfires, sunsets and fireflies?! Marshmallows and roasting sticks will be provided. There’ll even be a nature guide present! The excitement begins at 8pm Saturday, the 4th on the Main Beach. Click here for more details.
